This fictional dialogue takes place, at the time of writing, in a near-future scenario in which the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, re-criminalizing abortion in the United States. Now, sadly, this has come to pass, and many states have criminalized abortion, depriving women of bodily autonomy.
